Be Bold – No invention has everything going for it, they all have obstacles, step out and try to make something happen.
Put Together Your Plan – Get a game plan but together or you will end up wasting a lot of money.
Have a Fire in Your Belly – Anything less and you won’t have the push you need to succeed
Decide What You Will Sacrifice – in terms of time, money, and emotional distress if you fail. IF you don’t decide to sacrifice upfront, you won’t be bold.
Get Going – Don’t be afraid to get out in the market to see if you can succeed.
Capitalize on Your Personal Connections – Who do you know who can help you succeed. Contact them and get advice as much as you can.
Sharpen your Sword – What skills do you need to develop for success. Make connections, or study-up to overcome any shortcomings you might have.
Know What You Are Selling – What is your product produce, that is what you are selling. For ear muffs, you are selling warm ears. An all-wheel mountain bike’s produces high adventure, or extreme sports.
Strengthen Your Shield – When faced with criticism ask people what they would do differently. But be prepared to ignore their advice if you don’t need it. Stand tall as for some people, even friends and family, the nail that stands up needs to driven down.
Problem Solve – Many issues will pop up. Figure out how to get around the problem. Your peronnel connections can be a valuable source when it comes to problem solving.
Use Your Energy Wisely – Keep your energy focused on what goals need to be accomplished
Get up when You’re Knocked Down – You will falter and fail along the way. Don’t let it get you down, you need to get up and move ahead.
